Gilles Villeneuve Ferrari 126CK 1/43rd Diecast - Imola

$59.99

By any measure, the 1980 season was a disaster for Ferrari. The 312 T5 was uncompetitive from the start, and Renault was proving the turbo power was the future of Formula 1.

The 1980 Italian Grand Prix was held at Imola and Ferrari had their new turbo car ready for testing at their home race. Despite the T5's lack of competitiveness, Villeneuve opted to start the race in the old T5 chassis, subsequently having a major crash at the corner that now bears his name on the 6th lap.
